Recovering honda radio code?

Ya so, kid left her dome lights on and killed her batt. The radio wants a code now that we jumped it. Any easy way to fix this?

She claims to have checked the manual for the code and says google told her she's gotta go to the dealer next.

i used to have to do this to some of the enterprise civics that we had when i worked there... the code should be on the user manual iirc or written somewhere

this is a 2000 civic

01-05

if its the 01-05 ill need the serial number. turn the key to on with the radio off. hold the number 1 and number 6 preset button then press the power button there will be 2 sets of "codes" that come up.
get those and i'll get you an unlock

wasnt the codes on a sticker, on the radio itself? like you would pull it outta the dash to find the code?

sometimes the code is on a sticker on the side of the glovebox, but that's pretty rare.

I called the dealer when I first locked mine out, and they wanted $160 to just reveal the code Extra to unlock the radio.

Luckily I found online basically the same procedure as for the Honda!

honda dealers are a joke about that kind of thing. usually if you bought the car from a honda dealer they will make sure you have the code.
