I’ve heard the old units we junk. Not much efficiency and/or gains for their respective size
Sorry. That hellcat was a whipple 4.5. With the 426. It just left in a trailer headed to run the 8.20 class at FL2k. Lol I just met the owner. Car is SICK.

A buddy has a CTS-V wagon, a BAP is a typical option for them. I'd prefer upsizing the in-tank fuel pumps but maybe it's not an option?
No not at this power level. When I do the cam and more, it might be. But this JMS bap is high quality and very common otherwise it gets very expensive and invasive from here. DSX makes an aux kit that you have to tap into the tank for and from there it’s thousands for triple pump setups. I should be good for another 100 or so with the bap. Like 800 maybe 850 before it’s up another big step. At that point it’s both low and high side that need upgrades along with injectors.

So car basically made the same. AF is safe and the low side fuel pressure is perfect now. Had a chance to finally hit it on the highway. Wow it’s an animal. Now I actually need those drs I have for the street. Once the track opens maybe next week or week after from getting hit hard from Ian, I’m going again. Shooting for deep 10s.

Well, kind of met my goal. Wanted to run 10s… just barely made it in. Soupy night. DA was 2000ish and it was 80s. I should have waited but I’ve been wanting to get back to the track so bad. Well here are the results.

Good news run 2, I ran an intake only GT500. We ran bumper to bumper and I had him by a hair. We were basically dead even. He came and found me after asking what I had. Lol.

congrats and love the color.

Thanks man. Bummed honestly. Was looking for deep 10s with the amount of stuff done. The weather was to blame for sure. Everyone complaining how bad it was. Guys I was there with were all off by .5 ish from their normal times.

I logged every pass too. Car was dead nuts hooking and not a hint of knock, so that is every fiber of what it had. Thats what makes me bummed. Unless 2000 less DA and maybe 60* temps will really help that much, Im not looking at much more. The car did everything right. So did I.

had 93 in it and added a can of VP octanium. Probably around 97/98 octane during the runs, and no knock showed it worked. I was seeing a bit of knock on straight 93 when I first got it all tuned, but that was weeks ago.

Heavy raceweight, 2000 DA, but deep 120's... all good. Any idea what the car weighs with you, I heard could be 4100 wtih 200 lb driver.
Yeah stock converter and not sure weight. They have the scales off for T&T nights. Better weather is coming. So in a month I'll probably go back. No promises I wont have more mods though...lol I've already begun shopping for shops to do H/C. I'll need the cam anyway. Running up against the limit of the highside mechanical fuel pump now with the stock cam.

Might order a flex fuel sensor and headers soon... Honestly the headers are next.

Mid 10 would need a better 60 as you know, a converter would help get you there.

If you do cam/heads but keep the stock converter, you could end up with something sometimes called cam surge... You're at a light and you have to push on the brakes harder because the car acts like it wants to drive itself.

That all should be fixed by a TCM tune. Almost nobody does converters with the sixth gen ZL1 unless they are going racecar.
