Zack, I need some parts!

Got my new intake from Hogan's today. However, it requires the alternator to be relocated. What do I need to convert the front of my motor to relocate it. I would prefer not to turn it around like the Eaton swaps do. Will the alternator from the 5.4 GT500 bolt in where the A/C compressor would normally be? I don't have one of those either and have just the idler adapter in there now.

I am guessing at a minimum, I need a front cover.

If you would be so kind, point me to a thread that has done this swap, or make me a list of parts I need to get.

Jeez John you made 18" wide tires work on the back but cant figure out a simple alternator bracket?

I will try to get a picture as the factory alternator is now mounted where the AC compressor was. Dan at FLP said he could make more of these brackets if there was an interest.

Should hit the dyno this week.

I am getting anxious! In April I will be driving it to Louisville, should make for an adventure.

Id bet the farm it comes on a trailer.


...and no, parking the truck and trailer in the local Walmart and driving the MM to the Hotel doesnt count. :eek:
