Part of this probably depends on which DQ was in your neighborhood and how good the lazy 16 yo is that makes your stuff. I’ll put anything I can make you at DQ against the same thing from anywhere else. If it’s a custard place you prefer, you’re probably just a fat piece of shit who loves butter so much you want it to stick to your insides as you inhale it.

I don’t eat ice cream to be healthy so I’ll make the choice that tastes better to me; well, DQ isn’t technically allowed to be called ice cream. And butter is delicious. But it’s the egg yolk content that makes custard so thick and hearty vs runny soft serve.

You are correct, it’s technically iced milk.

DQ has been killing it with their fancy blizzards lately. I had an oreo cheesecake one last week and it was delicious.

DQ was my first job. For five days when I was 16. So I have enough background to at least to be a YouTube expert.
I ran one and owned part of it for 15 years. My parents still own 3, I have a step uncle that owns 3 and approximately another 3 distant relatives that own multiples throughout the country.
people seriously you can make your own blizzard anything you want. If they tell you no, let me know and I’ll tell you how to word it so they do it. So many unlimited combinations.

DQ soft serve ice cream is the best, hands down. But the 2 by my house completely suck at making the specialty blizzards.
Both will make it differently as well and neither is right.
Dont see may Tasty Freeze around anymore but they had the best oreo shakes.

Andy’s frozen custard does full pie slices on the reg, varying the pie by season. Key Lime pie concrete should start soon.

The downside, of course, is that it’s easy to spend $10 on one concrete.

DQ Blizzard, chocolate ice cream, Oreo & cookie dough. Or the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard when that comes out in the fall.

Culver’s isn’t bad at all just much prefer those DQ blizzards.
