3 hours later...figured out how to remove the pan without removing the engine...what a pain in the ass though!
I had to remove the front lower mount and bracket that attached to the motor. Tehn the balancer has to come off (the motor can be lowered enough with the mount gone to remove it without lowering the cradle.)
Drop the pan so it's hanging (It WONT come out the bottom). remove the oil pump PU, then the gasket...pan will slide out the front through the wheel well.
My car has been leaking a serious amount of oil...and I had to do this. This has got to be the shittiest job on a car I've done in years. It's been leaking for several months, so you can imagine the mess down there...and that's on top of all the CV grease on everything from a blown axle seal!
I have a new pan gasket that was supposed to be here today, but Fed Ex couldn't find my house. I gave them a piece of my mind, hopefully they can find my house tomorrow.
