Tonight's episode, brought to you by DODGE. Go buy a Dodge and have it rust out in 3-5 years living in the midwest. Dodge, not a King Ranch.

To be fair 4th gen Rams that have been around since 2009 are by FAR the least rusty trucks of that era I’ve seen.

Also, my neighbor is watching it in his garage right now and it makes me want to watch it again to see what I missed.

Not really a crazy spoiler but I’ll hide it for now...

Apparently there is going to be another Taylor Sheridan spin-off series about the show horse business, queuing up that whole scene with Taylor as well as Jimmy getting sent off

The opening was fucking awesome. Heat shootout level for tv. I do agree with IceCreamAssassin IceCreamAssassin, they slowed way down and also time jumped around a bit.

Episode 2 definitely felt like filler, but good filler. Minor complaints aside, damn good to have this show back.

a tad ridiculous no one died. Beth strolls out without issue...jimmy has his neck flopping around, he's fine. Monica has her head smashed against the floor, all good (speaking of which, where was she in ep 2). Minor annoyances and I'm just bitching to bitch.

There were basically zero ramifications for all that went down in the finale.

You guys are knit picking two solid episodes. This isn’t a 2 hour movie where they have to close all the gaps within that time window. We’ve got 8+ hours more of episodes this season to close gaps.

Nit picking b/c there really wasnt much else to complain about. 1st episode was solid, they took some liberties with the timeline and the 2nd episode sets up new players and storylines. All well and good...but they weren't flawless episodes.

My only real complain is in the above spoiler.

I agree about the whole nobody dying part, but I can’t say I would’ve preferred any of the characters departing vs. what they ended up doing. I think Jimmy was supposed to die, but like I was saying in my other spoiler, supposedly Sheridan is developing another show about reining in Texas that will involve Yellowstone characters. Jimmy going with might’ve been a change during the hiatus.

I agree with the episodes jumping around a bit. Not enough context for about half of the scenes IMO. Also, took a second to realize that some time had passed between the attacks and when the show picks up after the first 15 min or so.

To one point of your spoiler,

Unless there was some line of dialogue I missed somewhere that explained it, I was wondering where the hell Monica and Tate were at as well. We got the one scene of her getting attacked and then Tate blasting that clown (literally) LIKE A BOSS, and then they're never seen again for the rest of the 2 hours. And about Beth, the way they were framing her when she walked out of that building I was certain she was gonna have like half an arm or something, but NOPE. Then I was like oh great, she gets blown up and all she gets is ANOTHER scar on her face. But then they did show her back all scarred up later on, so at least thats something.

Fantastic
Forgot about the spoiler tag, my bad.

Was trying to pay better attention when Rainwater shows John who set the whole thing in motion, my parents swear it’s Angela Blue Thunder, but I’m not sold yet.
