I'm finally back at it. I went to the gym today for my first time since the first week of March 2020. Weighed in at 201 this morning. I'd like to see 185 on the scale sometime this summer.

Started off doing chest and triceps like a basic bro. Finished off with 12 minutes of hard cardio just to see if my heart and lungs still work ?.

Tonight was back and biceps, plus finished with cardio. I'm finishing every workout with a few minutes of cardio to help get my heart and lungs back up to speed.

I got word that my hockey league may start back up by the beginning of May, so I want to be somewhat conditioned by the time I can get back on the ice.

going to the gym vs. going to the gym and finishing with 15 minutes of some kick/stretching and heavy bag work, my fitbit says i use a fuckton more calories doing the latter. definitely gets heart rate up as well. i'm sure part of the calorie usage is it's kind of HIIT like and the heart rate and metabolism are still up for a while after i leave. i try to do this every workout now too.

so Shawn1112 Shawn1112 asked if i would notice anything on creatine, and i thought i would not even have a clue, and was just taking it because the science behind it being able to help you get in a few more reps looked sound. and recently i have indeed been able to get a few more in. is this just because i gained some strength instead? or both? who knows. am in a caloric deficit, although have fat and flab to burn for energy and as a newbie it seems i can still add muscle in a deficit. do look a little more lean. this is the longest i've been in a deficit (couple months) and noticeably moreso lately (last few weeks) i think libido is down. per fitbit my average day i burn at least 3000 calories, per my spreadsheet (which i think may estimate high) i eat 2600. although today i am feeling like a hungry fucker so going to miss that mark. turning 42 in a few more days.

I was just looking again last night and didn't see it anywhere. Most of the things i've used in the past are out of stock as well. For all the stuff not on the shelves you'd think more people would be in shape, LOL
