ur gunna fit in nicely around here!

So welcome to the garage, and stay safe over there
 i've been around the CSVT guys since 06 when i lived in Chicago. i can't tell you how lame the car scene is in other states. its almost non-existant around Fort Bragg, NC. I got a bunch of LSx guys back into it in the Seattle area, but its mostly imports out there. full blown fast and furious with people lining the streets cheering for 15 second cars. i shit you not.

oh, and this smiley cracks me up

:jg:

haha, the stories aren't very exciting. lots of slow cars and underage dudes with cops everywhere. i rolled through Kent, WA (import street race heaven) and an unmarked suburban followed me until i got back on the expressway

I hate the wheels, but love FRC's. Bad ass car. Welcome to the garage.
haha, i have a CCW Drag Pack and some Ronal LZ-VT rims with no tires. i had some Fikse FM10s, but i sold them for a profit and they never made it onto my car.

i was at Bragg in '08 before i got hurt and dropped from the SFQC. i'm in a LRS company out of Lewis now

gotta love frc's. good looking car.
thanks man. it took me a while to find a nice black one. picked it up with 29k miles in '07!

was Sharky's around back then? thats where all the pipeline guys go now.

i've gotten a couple of other injuries since this deployment started. if i can get those fixed properly, i'll go back and try again or i'll try to go RRD. i kinda like this recon thing.

middle trapezius on my right side is fucked, left shoulder is fucked, left ACL and LCL are fucked. and i'm only 23. haha

So what's the deal with the frc? I know they were before the zo6 but is it the same chassis just no ls6 or is it just a convertible without the vert part?

fixed roof coupe...believe they only came in a 6spd...no targa obviously. slightly softer suspension than a z06 (correct me if i'm wrong on that one).

I remember reading about them a long time ago but I find conflicting info. Some say its a vert chassis with a fixed roof, others say it's the zo6 chassis but yea not as firm (z51?)

IIRC they were coupe's with the fixed roof, all came with the Z51 suspension and 6 speed manual transmissions.

both are right kind of. its the same chassis as a z06, which is the coupe chassis with the 'vert chassis bracing. z51 suspension. only MN6 6 speed. z06 had the M12. only ls1. it was the "base model" in 99 and 00.

just about anything you wanna know about a c5 vette can be found in this thread
