Still rocking a 10 year old Yard Machines 26" snowblower. Go through a couple of shear pins over the years, but have done zero maintenance to it and it just runs.....

Once it dies I'll likely go to something around 24" width and heated grips. The old man bout a Cub Cadet 3 stage with heated grips and you get spoiled using that thing. :bowrofl:

Pics from last year, because my shit is still in the shed without chains or blower hooked up, waiting on a freak snow storm to trap it there and force me to shovel the 10,000sqft of driveway I have.

My 79’ Deere 212, 36A blower with a HF winch rigged up to lift it. HF off-road lights and rubber tire chains.

I had a hell of a time with traction last year and had to winch myself up the slight incline of my drive. Reaalllly need some wheel weights and a ballast box for it.

I have a Husqvarna ST227P 27 inch 254cc Two Stage

It required 1/2qt of oil this year, realistically probably needed it whenever, but this was the first time checking the oil since I bought it 6 years ago. Replaced the sheer pins once. Other than that, no other maintenance besides topping off with 93 octane and she fires up on the first pull, every time.

still dk what i'm gonna do about a snowblower. there's a $600 one year old craftsman for sale in cedar lake. May offer 5 hundo and just relegate myself to the 20th century

I'm not mad at this.

the amazon 0%x18 on a new ego is super super super tempting but I've put so much shit (mostly furniture) on a zero percent card this year that I just don't want to use my credit anymore lol

like yes it's free money but still

Old used free Craftsman Dino burner reporting in.

Electric yard implements are for Suzy Q and her 6000 sqft postage stamp in Naperville.

G a r b a g e

Like I said I love my ego weed whacker...

But anything bigger for electric... I dunno

*acknowledges defeat*
*sends message on craftsman blower*

if ego made a beefy ass awd push mower that used the same batteries then I'd be more tempted to go with their 2 stage blower. My mowing situation remains to be seen, don't have a whole bunch to cut (half acre lot) but I have the grade in the back so pushing it all with my dinky fwd mower would suck

What I'll likely end up with, one of these 4 years old in great shape asking $600 (will offer $500) local to me

This is the Craftsman I have. Mine is probably an older version, but in solid shape. I haven't used it yet.

I have 2 large driveways. One leading to the detached garage and another leading to the house, so I figured I needed a 2 stage.

Since we've got a small driveway, I'm just going to get one of the small 12" power shovels. For the past 11 years here, I've used just a push shovel and an electric plug in 12" Toro power shovel, with the only hassle being the extension cord. So going cordless will be a nice upgrade. I already have a battery powered 40v Ryobi lawn mower, trimmer, and leaf blower with 4.0a and 6.0a batteries for those tools. I figure I might as well get a Ryobi unit and have another battery as well. That's plenty to handle our sidewalks and drive for the few times I need something more than a shovel, and do the slop at the end of the drive from the plow.

If I got something larger, it'd be overkill, and I'd feel compelled to do all the neighbor's driveways and sidewalks. Plus, this allows me to say, "Sorry, the battery just ran out!" and head back inside. :ROFLMAO:

I've got a $8 shovel from Menards that does what I need it to. If I need to I can borrow my neighbors 16" single stage.

*want a 48" plow for the ATV, but don't have the room for storing it either mounted or unmounted. Would also give me a reason to hoon in the cul-de-sac while "heading to a neighbors to help them."
