So I was invited to US41 with a couple buddies from LS1Tech on Friday for a private track rental from 10am-5pm and then test and tune until dusk. As most of you know I haven’t been racing this car in a long time. 3 years to be exact. I have had a lot of things going on in my personal life and just not dedicated to toying with the car as I use to be. I do enjoy driving it still.

So I decided to commit to this track day. I was very nervous because I was so out of loop with the car. I did have the motor refreshed but no major changes to the setup. I tried taking it easy until I got use to the car again. I started out on spring pressure and limping it out since I stupidly left my TC and ABS on so I couldn’t get a burnout going on the first pass. Great start to the day. The subsequent passes I started to add timing and boost on the controller but for some reason I couldn’t gain on boost over a few psi no matter how much I’d command. I had a hard wall at 14psi so I switched my controller source from compressor housing to manifold to gain another 2psi but still the controller wouldn’t budge. May have to go co2 and assess any leaks. Fuel and age were a little rich so I leaned that out a little to target .75-.78 lambda. Regardless I’m pretty happy with how the car did especially given I drove 45 minutes to the track, did a hand full of wheelies, drove back home. 0 issues outside of boost control anomaly.

Damn awesome! I’m guessing the 1.4 60’ was with the back tires on the 9.3 pass?

Nice job Will. You have given me a much needed boost (no pun intended) to stay motivated with my car. I expect to be a quite a bit slower but should be as streetable.

Yeah I think so because if you look at my slip 6 and slip 7 they are nearly identical except the 60' so I think I carried them out past that.
So fuckin rad. I’ll be happy if mine does a little pop up lmao.

I can stiffen up the front shocks to keep it from coming up like that. I had it loosened up earlier in the day and had to get out of it to bring it back down but don't have video. Front came pretty high up. I had a few friends at the track so I kinda wanted to put on a show as I couldn't get the boost I was targeting to get a PB.

i wouldnt necessarily stiffen them up as much as limit the travel. if you chain the arms down and only allow like half the travel, it SHOULD plant the tire harder and cut your 60ft down substantially with the same tuneup
