Here's an in-person 2022 Vivid orange ZL1 for your viewing pleasure. I actually dont like it. I really liked the CRUSH that was more orange. This is more copper. Tons of flake.

Hooooooolllllyyyyyy crap.

This may now be damn near my top of the list, (and it saves me boat loads of cash over the gt500)

I didn’t realize this car came in this color like that. Wow that is stunning. Where is that for sale so I can look it up?

Although the car is an absolute monster and modiability is pretty decent, I just can't wrap my head around a $70k Camaro...

I felt the same until I finally got to drive one a while back. Now I own one. Its worth every bit considering what its capable of. And this is assuming you need the back seats (like I do), and cannot get a Z06 corvette. This is literally a z06 with mock back seats. Its a beast.

As for that color, yes its cool but to me its not poppy enough. I like the Crush, and the Shock colors from last year. I like the race red as well. The darker colors and heavily tinted colors, I dont like as much. That color (vivid orange), its going to look very muted in anything but direct sunlight.

Just what the cool shit costs now a days. Gotta think in 2002 the SS and shit was what 35-38k sticker price? I used to have the original sticker for my trans am and I think the guy paid above 35k for it brand new. And that was just an all motor no frills rattle box with speakers that blew if you turned the music even slightly up.

Now this has all the goodies, heated seats, steering wheel, cooled seats, supercharged vette engine, etc etc all the goodie comfort fun shit.

Shit ain’t free.

I guess I need to clarify. I can't justify paying $70k for a Camaro, albeit a beat of a Camaro, over spending the same amount for a mid-engined, world class, boarder line super car. The ZL1 would destroy a Stingray from a roll but that's about it. I also do understand that as of today the Camaro is easier to mod. I don't see that being the case forever though.

Two different types of cars. One is a base model new corvette that btw you are paying 6 figures for a 60,000 dollar msrp car.

Vs

A Camaro that is made to compete with the mustang and GT500 because they are similar like vehicles.

The corvette is great, but that markup makes it kind of a dumb purchase. 60k? Great purchase. 70k? Eh ok I guess if you “have” to have it. 100k w/markup…. Gtfo you have to be bonkers brain dead to pay that. Unless you like to get laughed at everywhere you go because of how much you got cucked at the dealer.

Base 60k, but by the time you option up the basics for car peeps like us (Z51..etc) its a $70k msrp.

As for Markup? Yeah, I refuse to pay markup. I don't need it that bad.
