💦 Detailing Wifey's 2020 Cherokee Ceramic Coated

Figured I would start a separate thread instead of clogging up the regular detailing thread.
Vehicle is a 2020 White Cherokee Limited X with 5000 miles. I've maintained it since we bought it in March, so the paint is in pretty good shape still.
Did have a TON of rail dust on it. All taped off and in the garage, pretty sure will get away with just an easy polish on 90% of the truck.
Plan is to attack top panels today and possibly the tailgate after dinner. Then hit all the side panels and bumpers tomorrow. Then hit it with the Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0
I'll crank the heat up tomorrow night and let it sit till Sunday.

Process as of now
Rinse
Foam with Chemical guys HoneyDew
Rinse
Wash with Chemical Guys Clean Slate,
Rinse
Decom with Carpro Trix, Iron X with tar remover (not a fan)
Rinse
Clay using Nanoskin mitt and HoneyDew foam for lube
Rinse
Wash again with Clean Slate

All done. Last night worked on it from like 8p-10:30p. Got hood, front fenders and half the roof polished. Late start today as I had errands to run. Started about 1p and just finished up. Still gotta hit with Reload in the morning
Process today
Menz 3500 super finish
White LC smart polishing pads
Wiped down with Eraser
CQuartz UK 3.0
Tires dressed with Megs Hyper 2:1
No glass protection yet but planning on it.

My wife’s white Durango was the worst car I had with rail dust, the paint collected everything. Used iron-x and in a few minutes it from white to looking like grimace. Truck was completely purple.

Looks nice! I don’t know what is a worse color, black or white. Black with dust forming almost immediately or white collecting every grime molecule.

I didn’t indulge until I was about 1/2 done applying the actual ceramic. When I’m doing shit like that I usually don’t drink until almost done. Once in a while if hot out I’ll have a beer or 2.
