Note to self.

Garlic Buffalo wings puked up the next day is exactly as disgusting as it sounds. And the garlic burps when you are already nauseous from the kidney pain is almost enough on its own to trigger a very violent eviction notice.

About to have another episode. I was feeling slightly achy all morning but it started to get sharper about 30 minutes ago so I popped a norco and anti-nausea pill soon as I thought it was gonna get worse since they take about 30 to kick in. Not looking forward to the next few hours.

So I got the bill for my very brief hospital stay. Thank god I got the best insurance because this is exactly why I never go to the dr for anything unless itā€™s completely debilitating.

I was in the hospital for about 6 hours. Had an iv, some morphine. Blood draw, and a CT scan.

With my insurance the covered amount would be $250, and Iā€™d be on the hook for the $11,800.

Sorry youā€™re having to go through all that. Had my own experience with dick rocks couple years ago at 33. Mine were calcium oxalate stones from eating too many potatoes and spinach of all things. Had to get the laser surgery and a stent put in. They took the stent out like a week later which wasnā€™t pleasant either. Good luck

When I was a kid I remember my uncle would get them. From about 1993 till about 2005 (haven't talked to him much since) he had passed over 300 and he kept them in a jar. He was in a medical journal because of the amount he had. I saw what it did to him and I don't wish that on anybody.

Once every few months I'll pee and randomly get bad pain/ache in my "urinary tract". And then I'm totally fine for another few months or longer. I've always wondered if I was passing a tiny stone.

Fortunately I've never had a real kidney stone experience. My brother in law has had a few and ended up in the ER puking and unable to move from the pain.

So on the plus side in all of this. I had my blood pressure taken when I wasnā€™t in pain at the hospital or nervous. Was about as relaxed as I could be. Really impressed with my blood pressure.

109/69. Which I think is pretty damned good even if itā€™s not athlete level like I probably had back in high school or college when I was training daily in gymnastics.

2:35am. Canā€™t sleep at all. Not nervous at all or really in any real pain. There is discomfort in my right kidney when my bladder fills. So I pee often to keep it empty. But was instructed to drink shit tons of water to continue flushing everything out.

I think Iā€™m awake from the general anesthesia throwing my sleep cycle off.

Still plenty of blood in the urine. But the burning from the stone removal is lessening.

Hoping to get some sleep soon or Iā€™m gonna sleep some mid day tomorrow.

Also. If they extract the stone through the urethra and expect to basically have to burn a few sets of underwear. I donā€™t think these briefs can be saved from the blood stains.

So. Part of my ongoing pain is they installed a ureter stent because removing the stone apparently scratched up the ureter pretty good. So the out the stent in there to ensure the flow is not blocked. Ugh.

The symptoms are:
Constant need to piss.
bright fucking hawian punch red piss
Extreme discomfort when peeing. Feels like Iā€™m being punched in the kidney every time i piss.

Did i mention the fucking very bright red piss thatā€™s like the color of red wine at times? Not talking a little blood. But like MOSTLY blood!

And i have to endure this shit until August 22nd before they remove it. Where they will ONLY do local anesthesia the stick yet ANOTHER fucking camera up my junk to grab the damned stent the PULL it out like a fucking lawn mower pull start.
