Had my first run of them around the age of 26-27 i believe, didn’t know I had it , drove my self to the urgent care, let them know my symptoms and they said kidney stones.
doctor gave me some meds and sent me to the er for drip IV of some kidney stone dissolving meds I believe I passed it but I felt no pain doing so.

I watch my diet in some ways now and I can feel a stone issue coming on at times with a pain in my side, at that point I start drinking the the most concentrated cranberry juice I can which helps dissolve them.

Never had them, and I'm 41, I drink a fuck ton of water and the occasional cranberry juice once a month. I heard they fucking suck! Sorry!

GL Man, I've read up on high uric acid levels attributing to kidney stones and other conditions.

20 years ago, had my gall bladder yanked.
THAT experience SUCKED 🙌

felt so much better after the procedure 🙂

Had them a few times in my 20s. Two times the stones were too big to pass and had to have Lithotripsy surgery. It is interesting pissing basically sand for a few days after.

What helped most during the pain (since I couldn't even pass them, it would be intense pain til I could get them to "move") was sitting flat on the ground with my back flat against the wall like a " L" with my feet straight out. Drink tons of liquids too.

I also passed one naturally and that was not nearly as painful as having stones that were too big to pass.

Good luck! They aren't the most fun but they will surely increase your pain threshold   cause after nothing will hurt like that.

Yeah I’ve got a prescription for tamsalin? I haven’t filled.

Pain comes and goes in waves. I feel almost normal right now, but about an hour ago god. Could not find ANY position I could stay in for more than a minute or two.

I had a 7mm boulder that was dissolved with Lithotripsy about 15 years ago. They couldn’t determine what caused them for me. I drank a lot of brisk ice tea in a can thinking it is healthier than soda pop. I stopped it and I haven’t had them since. I do drink alkaline water on the regular and cranberry and pomegranate juice once in a while as it’s not cheap.

I had one around 30 years old. Most painful thing I've ever experienced and I've broke a bunch of bones bad enough to require surgery.

What is weird is how for days it would come and go. I would feel completely normal, and then all of a sudden i could feel it coming on and then it would hurt so bad I'd feel nauseous, them bam....it would completely go away for another 12 hours and I'd feel normal. I would just roll around on the floor trying to find any position to help cope, or I'd sit in the shower with really hot water.

I never went to the doctor, I knew what it was. Ended up pissing it out while I was at work. Weirdest feeling ever when it shot out.

Good luck man!

Yeah they gave me 2 i.v. bags of fentanyl, ,I actually passed out from the pain while in the e.r room definitely needed the pain meds for sure ,but as far as the other stuff they gave me , I dont think I'd take it again , that was a rough day ,I have major sympathy for anyone dealing with that stuff , had a family friend, she told me she would rather give birth again than deal with another kidney stone

My Wife had both our kids naturally with no epidermal. She had a kidney stone and said it was worst that giving birth lol.

My wife's grandma said the same exact thing. She had 8 kids (this was before epidurals were a thing), and she's had a few kidney stones.....and she said the stones were hands down worse than giving birth. LOL!

FUCK!

It’s been about one month since this started and I haven’t had any pain for almost 2 weeks. I thought I was clear.

But this morning it’s just as bad as it was at its worst.

No position is comfortable. Laying down, sitting, standing. constant movement like walking Seems to help a little right now, but the pain is unbearable.

And the unending urge to pee is the strongest it’s ever been there is no relief from it.

So here I am in the hospital doped up on morphine because the pain was so bad this morning I puked twice.
