My parents neighbor in Wisconsin does a Bourbon tasting to support a cancer charity. My brother is a bigger bourbon drinker than I and this was a bucket list tasting for the both of us.

Yea, im not paying 100 bucks for a 2 ounce shot of bourbon.... As much of a bourbon guy as i am, im still a cheap SOB over everything else. lol

Binny’s pick small batch, nice. I’m running out if mine but I picked up a standard Buffalo Trace at Jewel a few weeks ago which is a score in itself.

I’m drinking $10 old fashioneds at Beacon Tap. Delicious but I really need to get home before I go poor…

I’ve seen it at Walmart, haven’t looked at Target or Tony’s. I grabbed the last bottle at Jewel. Back in 2019 every Binny’s had their small batch picks by the pallet load. I used to go to Algonquin and Crystal Lake once they opened and there was no shortage. Fucking Joe Rogan.

I had to call a bud in park city. The allocations were shit this year. My go to spot only got 9 bottles.

I know tequila. Don't know whiskey. I am buying a bottle for a friend who does know whiskey. I have bought him Macallan 12 before and he likes that. This year I am thinking of getting him a Talisker 10. Similar price and the reviews I have watched almost unanimously have the reviewers loving the whiskey. You guys familiar with it? 45.8 ABV. Peppery. Bit of peat. Letting it breathe or adding a small amount of water expands the nose and flavor. 90 rating for around $75.

Expensive does not always equal good, but everyone's taste is different.

I saw that characters in one of the Bond movies were drinking it not that that matters. The 18 is supposed to be even better but it's double the cost. The 25 and 30 are through the roof price wise.

Never had Talisker. In the same price range is Redbreast 12. It’s a pot still Irish whiskey. If you want to stick to scotch Balvenie 12 is similar to Macallan.

This is very solid bourbon . I was at this distillery in Bardstown KY last July. Loved everything about their process and majority of their bourbon. The week we were there the Fusion 5 was just released, and was able to get a sample of the White dog. You should try the discovery series, its a red label.
