Thanks for the details man, that would be awesome, or if you're able to nab another bottle of Blanton's. It's a shame I can't sign up remotely, but given the program/control they put into place, that makes sense. I'll have to ping a few of my friends out there and see if I can convince them to go to their closest Binny's and start hoarding for me for the next few months. lol.
Shit it nuts out here, people are vultures. They just introduced that system with Binnys last month because people are flocking to all their stores and grabbing up everything when they get shipments. Kind of sucks cause i used to get multiples of what I wanted at my local Binny's, now i can only get one a month.
Yeah, the stores here at the same. Low volume and allocated stuff goes on the shelves behind the counter with a "one per customer per day" sign.
Enjoying some Godfathers w/ that scotch I bought. That is definitely a good use for this stuff.

Decent Walmart haul on Saturday.
Effin' WALMART got their hands on EH Taylor (and Blantons)?? Where was this Walmart located at?
They had quite a few around chicago that got them, gone in minutes.
Gone in minutes? Damn, someone must have put out the word. Or someone is running a script that constantly refreshes Walmarts online shopping thing for stuff like that.
Fuckers around here know the delivery drivers and get the heads up on when exactly the stuff gets delivered... They then tell their friends, and the friends tell their friends, and so on. POOF, gone in minutes.
We need to start making friends with those guys. Bribes are in order! It is Chicago. Everything goes better with bribes. Ask the Daley family and good ol' Rod B.

Thats why a lot of these places are starting to implement 1 bottle per customer rules. Same with Binnys. They're starting to track your spending at locations too and wont sell to you if you don't buy regularly from the specific location your at.

I put away a few ounces of Basil Hayden Dark Rye, got a few more hours of spreadsheets, formulas, pivots, and cuts and pastes to go.... so... a few more ounces ready to pour.

The Crystal Lake Walmart did an event that was really well organized. They had it in a dedicated area out near automotive with a line setup and you could get 1 bottle per trip through the line. My co-worker got there after I did and left with a Blantons, 3 EH Taylor, and an Eagle Rare. I didn't feel like lapping the line again so I just left with these two.
They also had the Woodford Historic Barrel 18 Year which I debated, but I figured I'd get another EH Taylor to replenish when I kill my current one instead.

The amazing this is that people wait in line for Blantons and ER. Both are average bourbons at best.
I do love me some EH though.

I agree that both the Blanton's and standard EH small batch are pretty overrated, especially the Blantons, but at retail I'll never pass on it to keep around. I had a bottle of Blanton's gifted to me from an account at my last job and I was keeping it around, so it was nice to get a fresh bottle and to finish the last one. I also have an EH straight rye and small batch already, so it was good to get another so I can sip on the other one a little more knowing I have a replacement.
The line started moving at 9:00 and I was out of there by 9:20 with my two bottles, so it was a pretty quick process and worthwhile. I didn't show up until right at 9 and was towards the rear of the line on my first pass.

They had it posted near the liquor section, I hardly go to that Walmart but just happened to Friday and saw it, so I checked it out.
I'll alert in here the next time they are doing it if I see - they mentioned likely doing one Father's Day weekend, but not sure it's set in stone.
