I'm hoping it dies down soon. There's too many people out there that think they're cool scooping up bottles and letting them collect dust. A lot of these hard to find bourbons were on the shelves of Target, Meijer, Jewel, etc. 2-3 years ago before it became cool to collect bourbon.
Frankly, I know it's a bit of a drive, but a trip to the bourbon trail is fun and you get stocked with rare stuff. A group of 8 of us went last fall and came home with a lot of hard to find stuff. BT does a random EH, Weller, or Blanton's sale every Saturday morning.

I’m hoping to do the whiskey trail this summer. I’m thinking I can come home with some decent bottles.

After a recommendation from 
Mr Baytchos I finally went to Whiskey Acres yesterday and did the tour. There was only 4 of us so it was much more personalized and very informative. If you haven’t been there it’s completely worth the cruise. Picked up a bottle of their BIB Bourbon, pretty tasty.

I got a ton from my guy at Binnys today, about the only thing i DIDNT get was one of those Blantons. E.H. definitely tastes better than Blantons though IMO. If you're lucky enough to ever get a Single Barrel that is the best bang for your buck bourbon you can buy.

I usually strike out, today was just my day. I went in for EHT and when I found out they had Blanton’s I went for that. I was at my 1 allocated for the day so sent the GF for the EHT. I have never had it, had Blanton’s years ago. I’m excited to try both. I need an Eagle Rare to compare them all.
I was really surprised by the Blanton’s today. Now I need to double down on Eagle Rare.
