Vernon Hills. I thought of you. If they didn’t have the ER I would have grabbed the Taylor to settle up, even though it was $4.99 over the agreed upon value . I don’t have a back up ER and that’s my top 1 or 2 sipper.

I just grabbed one down the street from me, and an EH... I might grab another Friday if they have leftovers in the back which they usually keep a few. But they never usually put those things out in public, you have to ask for them, and they won't give you one unless you're a regular.

VH does this often. I know BT drops happen on the 1st and sometimes 3rd Wednesday of the month so I figured I’d roll the dice. I’m sure the SiB and Stagg was held for regulars.

Welp I finished up my Heaven Hill BIB last night, so it was time to do some more shopping. The bluff springs is my stand in for BT when its out at total wine (which it was this time), cuz I only have about a pour or so left in my current BT bottle But I probably would've gotten the bluff springs this time anyways cuz they had a deal for $6 off, so that was nice. And I decided to give the Still Austin a try (never had it before), but its the WOTM this month, so I got 10% off that, PLUS I had a $5 off coupon for everything, so that further reduced everything for me.

Will pop that Still Austin open later and see whats what. I've had a Texas whiskey once or twice before and they can be good.

It seems like BT Distillery dropped a bunch of bottles in the past 2 weeks, and it seems like Woodman’s is putting bottles on shelves in increments. I was able to secure my own Blanton’s Gold last week along with the EHT single barrel. Happy hunting and love seeing the finds at Binny’s!

Also, Niche in Geneva shared they picked their barrels of Eagle Rare and Weller Full Proof to be ready for December.

For those who frequent North Aurora Woodman’s, have you signed up for these email alerts and what’s your experience with this location, out of curiosity?

In the last month, they started sending these out, saying you have to show the email to claim a bottle.

This one was sent this morning at 10:51am. A friend of mine tried going around 3:30pm and was told screenshots don’t count and got laughed at.

Binnys tried that email crap in the past and scratched it because people were sending their notifications through text to others and they were bringing it in trying to pass it off as their own. They had enough of it and cancelled the email stuff. People are vultures.

I did pick up a 1000ml bottle of BT from Niche again in Geneva a few days ago when i passed by there. $30 for that is a damn good price, i usually tip the bar girl a $5 on top of that.

I was surprised too. C’ville Woodman’s seems to hold onto bottles and puts them out randomly with signs saying “1 allocated bottle of bourbon per person per day”, but at least they’re not playing this game.

Finished up my OF100 I was using for old fashioned duty, so, its been awhile, time for some more double oaked! This is a special barrel reserve blend for total wine, so I guess its a little different than the normal stuff But figured i'd give it a go.

Also picked up some other refreshments I call those car cleaning beers.

I do a lotta car cleaning.
