How is the center calculated?

I think some of these people that live way out and never come out to meets are effecting the average.

You'd have to set a range first. Some people on the outskirts will be irrelevant when this is factored in.

The centers were eyeballed by [MENTION=340]Eagle[/MENTION], I believe. A few pages ago he explained it.

If there's a place that will suit us better that isn't exactly dead center, I don't see it being a big deal.

Getting there... I think there are many more pins to be dropped... but we're getting the general idea.

I think this looks like the most central area... approximately. I'm just using my eyes, not actually counting way points in each quadrant.

But I think if we're all reasonable... we can see that there's a HUGE span from the center to the furthest north and south. Almost 40mi from either extreme. That sounds too far to me. So you almost need north and south locations:

Yup. Being close is nice, but half the fun of Lukes was the cruise to and from.

Not sure if it has been mentioned.... what about Shorty's in Wood Dale, IL? The lot is kinda similar to Doggie Diner. However there are lots right next door as well only separated by grass. The food is fantastic!

zee maps auto centers on your current position to show you the map. So yes it needs your location to do that.
