I remember driving a transam gta my senior year with probably 20-30% tread left and I paid like $50 for the rear tires at mex tire shop. if I didn’t need snow tires then I’ll never need them.

I was like that too, I bought my first set of snow tires about 5 years ago. I can tell you the difference is dramatic.

My 08 Mazdaspeed3 came with summer only tires, so I had to buy winter wheels and snow tires. It was my first experience on snow tires and aside from when I had my AWD G35 sedan. Both VWs after that have had snow tires.

I usually wait till mid April, when I get the GTO out I switch the Audi to the summer tires. This year I did it an early March when we had those warm few days because the snow tires were screeching a lot on normal speed turns and I didn't want to tear them up.
