I had some Firestone Winterforce 2 tires mounted on my OEM rims last week. But my regular tires are all-season Nokian Ones, so I can push through cold temperatures for quite awhile. I kind of want to see how the Nokians do in the snow first, and then compare to the Winterforce.

Gotta get some for wifes car...
Any discounts going around?

Sam’s Club has select brands on sale $80 off a set of four and then this weekend they also threw on free install, lifetime rotate/balance etc for another $80 off.

There were special order tires all over the place. Tires with red tags are all customer orders waiting for install:

I swapped last week, but my winter set is on its last legs. I'm past the snow traction wear indicator, and almost at the regular wear indicator. By the time spring rolls around the tires will be toast. They'll get me through this last season, but not gonna have the traction I had when they were new.

that said, the compound is still better than all seasons, so what little tread is left, will deal with light stuff pretty good. Deep snow is probably not gonna be fun.

I feel like we should do snow tire drag races or braking contests in parking lots this winter... I'm waiting a little while longer to throw mine on.
There is an episode of Roadkill where Finnegan and Angelo go up into the mild cheddar state (Wisconsin) and do exactly that, car drag racing on a frozen lake.

Curious how these perform for you, they look like AT’s more than snow tires.

So on ice they are way better than all seasons but not as good as the previous snow tires I’ve had from Michelin, Firestone, and Continental.

On packed snow they are mid pack, but in deep snow they are at the top.

Got through some 12-14” snow okay. Was deep enough it was going up the hood and over the windshield:
