Let's face it. If you're an automotive mechanic then you're not making "big bucks". At least not while working a normal 40 hour work week.
Side jobs is were the good money is at! 55/hr all In my pocket!
Diesel. Mostly pick up trucks and some medium duty. Non union, non dealer also
That's basically automotive. It's not that different by any means, unless you are working on something in the scale of ships and immense powerplants. Definitely not a jet mechanic or something of the sort when it comes to pay scale.
Three of my guys make over 115k/yr only work 40/wk
And I am sure that some janitors clear over $80k/yr in certain parts of the country, but that's obviously not anywhere near typical for the profession.
Only automotive guys I know that make more than me work at union dealers and book over 50 hrs a week... the mom and pop shops that are similar to us, the guys seem to only make ~$50k at top rate...
Now of course your definition of good money may differ from mine, but I know what tim makes and visa versa and he's definition is spot on with mine
Semi trucks all still use drum brakes.
No one solved this riddle? I'm too lazy to read....stoking the fire...hahaha
Don't know what 7 & 8 refer too, but have they developed a pneumatic system that can operate disc brakes on the trailer?Ya don't say?
BTW disc's are becoming pretty popular on class 7 and 8!
Don't know what 7 & 8 refer too, but have they developed a pneumatic system that can operate disc brakes on the trailer?
And disc doesn't belong on class 8... they tried it years ago, isn't anywhere nearly as effective as drums are..
