For the roughly $7 each (2 pack) it was pretty decent. Sauce wasn't too spicy or too sweet. Cheese melted pretty evenly (unlike my tupperware) in my crappy oven. I would probably buy it again. I still have the second one to make, which I'll use next week.

SpeedSpeak2me how’d the cast iron fare?

Surprisingly well. It was fairly new, and recently cleaned and oiled. You can see the circle where the container was sitting, but none of the plastic melted or stuck to it. I think I caught it before it got to that point. Oven was set to 400º, but I caught it when it showed about 325º, which is closer to 275º in my oven. The small dots are from some water droplets. I'll give it a wash, and re-coat it for next use.

It’s not pizza Friday, it’s Latino Friday. One of my daughter’s prego cravings has been Rican food. Her Hubby grew up proper white so he ain’t a fan. The Wife and Daughter went down to the city for a late Rican lunch. Told her grab me some dinner. The appetizers I’ll save for tomorrow

I'm reheating some Costco take'n'bake Chicken Alfredo. Using the air fryer instead of the oven, and checked to make sure there were no plastic containers in it before turning it on.

That the white Indiana way? Cause Ricans dont put Jalapenos, they do put green olives though.
Did she use homemade sofrito or store bought in a can/jar? Thats the key to good Rican rice imo, its gotta be homemade sofrito.

There lies the issue, Mexicans teaching you how to make Puerto Rican rice lol. Looked good, I'm not a fan of a ton of Gandules in my rice and yours had a lot.
Im the opposite, I love the green olives, so if my Wife is making a Rican dish, she puts extra for me. My guys Mom always asks is Chawn (thats how she pronounces my name) coming over for dinner. If he says yes, she puts extra olives for me lol. My guy gets pissed and tells him Mom "fuck that nigga, I'm your son not him". Then I hit him with the "your mom loves this dick nigga, thats why". I dont say that in front if his mom though, she would slap the shit out of me.
Have you and your girl ever had authentic Rican food, from a legit Rican family or a Rican restaurant?

I have not. She's been to Puerto Rico 2x though so she probably has

Has some frozen Billy Goat Tavern burgers in the freezer. Did those on the Blackstone. They are currently my favorite frozen burger.
