💬 OT 🥤 What's everyone drinking tonight?

Tonight's drink of choice was some Blackened Rye Whiskey. AKA: known as Rye The Lightning. It's pretty good, but I don't thing it's as good as the regular Blackened.

I didn't take a pic of the bottle. I'm sitting down on the couch, and I'm not getting up just to take a pic.

Giving the Revolver a "shot" tonight.

2oz Bourbon
.5oz coffee liqueur
2 dashes orange bitters
and a flamed orange peel

It's an interesting drink but I dont know that I'm as blown away by it as I thought i'd be. Could be the combo of bourbon and coffee liqueur im using, tho the recipe usually boasts that you can make it w/ pretty much any bourbon and coffee liqueur you want. I'm using Copper Still single barrel 90 proof, which I've never had before but sounded good, and Mr Black coffee liqueur. The orange peel Im using too might be a little dry and didnt really have enough oils in it.

It's not bad tho. The first sip it seemed like I got each flavor individually then they eventually blended. But the Mr. Black definitely gives it a nice coffee taste on the backend.


Think i'll need to try another one to be sure.

2nd one grew on me a little more.


Might need to do additional "testing" tomorrow night.

Tonight's drink is something special for no other reason than "I felt like it." Hennessy Pure White, neat. I don't drink it often, since it's harder to get. But I really just wanted to have some tonight.

I had 28 phone calls in a 3 hour period today after I listed a home. Time for a drink or two to relax before the repeat tomorrow.

Might have some of The Real McCoy 5 rum tonight. It's smooth.
