OK, I found my issue with the ticking

Now my question is, do you think the new lifter would be ok after running on it?

I really want to change it b/c I feel its not, but I can't get the Head bolts and gasket before friday which the truck needs to be done by.

So if I was to get a lifter, can I atleast reuse the head gasket and head bolts. The truck has only been run maaaaaaaaaaybe 10 times and driven on once since I put the lifters, new gasket, and bolts on.

Can I re-use the gasket and bolt atleast If I did replace it? I've heard of guys doing it w/o issues

Gaskets are cheap. Bolts you can reuse. Fawked lifter you cannot.

Glad you found it.

Thanks Dan, I was hoping to be able to reuse the bolts since they are the hardest to get. The gasket wont be a problem to get, and the lifter shouldn't either

dan - The pan wont drop out b/c of the cross member. I've changed the oil out like 3 times already too. It'll be changed out this weekend too. Auto zone dealers FTW

nice! no need to be messin around with the stock junk cam

i agree 110% with eagle. im sure you wont be very happy if the lifter in question damages your nice new bump stick. the gasket is questionable, but cheap enough to replace and not have to worry.

i'll try something, I pulled the pan and cleaned out the sluge before the block was set in the truck. So if there is anything it should be right on the bottom I hope. the magnet on the plug picked some things up too

supposedly there have been quite a few over on performancetrucks.net. Well I had some shitty lifters the first round in.

Hopefully things can only get better from here...
