So the jeep is a 1955 Willy's with a 4bt Cummins swapped in, it was freshly restored about a year ago, lots of custom stuff upgraded brakes power steering added here it is, I think he wants to get around 12k out of it but I have no idea how to value this I don't know anything about jeeps he has much more than 12k into it

My lady got 3k cash for her 2000 wrangler with a little rust and a blown head gasket in 2011.

I think that is worth more than 12k.

is it "finished"?
Yeah he's been bar hopping with it every weekend lol, I would say it needs a gear change it tops out around 55mph but other than that it's finished

Thing is cool but it needs a little TLC still.

Oh how I am going to get flamed. And these are just some pet peeves that I see.

Exhaust looks like crap. Brake likes around the master are terrible. Rusty horn/horn bracket. And it could be better hidden. Battery is going to be a bomb soon. Stuff that I would be anal about if I put that much time and energy in.

slap a cummins sticker on the hood and all the deez-bros will lining up to pay $20k+

I'd say start high, warm weather just got here, topless jeep, diesel nutswingers. Price it at $25k and take offers.

I'll agree the exhaust sucks but who fucking cares. You can spend a few bucks to fix it.

I think the exhaust would look fine if it was tucked up more and welded rather than clamped together, I think he did it as a temp set up but never made the finished exhaust, i didnt even notice it till it was pointed out in this thread

I saw it right away, but such a minor thing to change would never think twice about it if interested in purchasing. Its a $50 fix on a $20k vehicle. lol Same with brake lines, couple bucks and some time to make them pretty enough to meet Rich's rust lumina, pointy elbow standards.

I see your point. But if you're going to put that much time and effort into the build, then why skimp out on stuff like that.

Right, if it's so easy for the potential buyer to do...why doesn't he do it? Needs a hood scoop, the random hole in the hood to expose the top of the engine kills the look IMO.

I say start at $20k and go from there.
