I saw this pic in one of my Buick groups. While it may look like a joke to some I can assure you that this is a fairly regular set-up. I can't remember the guy's name, but I remember talking to him at a hotel in Bowling Green as he prepared to head back home to the northeast. Supposedly the Centurion 455 handles the trailer through the hills of Pennsylvania with ease and manages double digit MPGs. I'm happy to see that both of these Buick powered beasts are still kicking.

That kind of makes me chuckle, the trailer and car have to be 4500ish lbs. The powertrain is certainly up to it (TH400/455) but I'd be curious about the suspension mods and would certainly want a few extras in the braking department if there wasn't trailer brakes. Not that the brakes are really all that different from a half ton truck up into the mid-late 90s, it'd be competent to do it just not great compared to today's stuff.

Not sure it’s something I’d do but the calipers from that era of car are literally the same calipers as a half ton square body truck and same diameter rotors.

yep and my Astro too. it even came with 11 inch rears like my Astro should have from the factory. I am pretty sure some of the half tons only had 9 inch drums.

So. None of the neighbors were home today. So I turned up the home theater to reference volume.
For the portion of the concert I watched the SPL app it averaged over 100db and peaked at 119dB during the Halo Suite.

holyfuck. I knew it could get loud. I didn’t knowit could actually get concert level loud.

We went to visit my fiance's family in Batesville, Indiana yesterday. It's a pretty typical small town, but there is one pretty badass quirk. If it's the weekend and the weather is nice, you WILL see a GTO or Lemans. The people of this town love GTOs and they are everywhere. I happened to see five of them yesterday. I couldn't get a picture of the last one. :(

Ironically, my future FIL has one of the nicest '70 442s I've ever seen.
