About time to get the old knee looked at again. Had major knee surgery when I was 20. ACL, MCL, PCL all replaced.
17 years later it's really starting to hurt again. Gave out this morning when I twisted to set something down. Very similar feeling and characteristics of when I first did all that damage.

I feel for ya. I had my right one done, then as soon as I was done rehabbing that, I tore my left one. Due to shit insurance at Sears, I let it be and never fixed it. However, it's gotten so bad, that if I'm down on the ground, I can't get back up without pushing myself up and then waiting for it to pop back in alignment.
Trying to do my 2021 Benefit Enrollment. The company automatically expires your password after 180 days, so the one used from last year doesn't work. The password reset emails/code are being rejected by my own company's policy because it is set to only receive emails when TLS is being used (the Benefit Company's policy), and it appears the benefits company are not sending with TLS (encryption).
So yeah, the "Secure Online Benefits" site isn't sending verification code/reset link emails encrypted.
Their automated call center is a complete fucking mess. No option to get you to a human being. After bouncing around prompts for 20 minutes finally got someone that was totally and completely fucking inept. Couldn't understand a word, letter, or number I said. After almost two hours on the phone, mostly on hold I just fucking rage-quit.

Tried paying my wife's car payment last Friday and the financial institution uses a 3rd party (checkfreepay.com). Went to log into her account and it's locked out with them stating they sent a code to her email. The code never arrived and the bank is closed. I used their 3rd party to make the $400 payment and the transaction said it failed. Check my bank and sure enough Check Free Pay takes the money out. I figured I'd wait until Monday or Tuesday to see what's going on with it since it was currently pending. I had my wife call up her bank to unlock her online access as she never got the unlock code via email. I also had her confirm that they never recieved payment.
I then try looking all over for Check Free Pay customer service number in which I had to Google as they made it difficult on their page. The CS had to transfer me 3 times as it never went to the right department. Call center seems to be out of country and it was hard to understand half the CS reps. Hold time for the correct department was long and I ended up giving up since I ran out of time. Now I have to call them up today and see how I'm going to get my $400 back. If I have to dispute with my bank, I'll do it or file a complaint with the AG office. Not the first time I've been screwed over by a company for at least a couple hundred.

Saturday morning... Decided to sleep in a little as I've been working 12 - 15 hour days for a couple weeks... Get woken up by the daughter... "Mommy's van won't start..."
Grrr.. Jumped it with the Burb, but yea, 5 years old, her insisting on using all power doors without it running, takes it's toll. $170 later it has a new Napa legend.

Hate to be that guy... but she would have to use the power doors like 200 times in a row for it to completely train the battery.... and if that truly did it. Then battery was on its way out...
Again, it was 5 years old. It was the OEM battery. So age played a factor in it too, but she is constantly opening/closing doors and liftgate when it isn't running.
TBH, I'm actually impressed because on the old van she averaged 3 - 3.5 years on a battery and while working for Sears, I popped for the Die Hard Gold and went in and got a free replacement each time.

i doubt we'll get another lockdown. WH said as much on sunday. its a lose-lose situation for 45, strategy-wise. i.e. Might as well not lock down and hope the economy can limp along, rather than hand Creepy Joe a potential game-winner.

couple weeks back i noticed my far back bottom molar had a odd texture to it as you run your tongue over it. didnt think much of it, just like "welp, my cleaning is coming up soon, it must just be plack or something."

So back on Oct. 24th I went to make a car payment. I used the 3rd party site since I was locked out of my account (and it was a weekend-no employees). Entered all information and went to make the payment with my PayPal debit mastercard (done this plenty of times). Well for some reason, transaction came back failed. No idea why but that it failed. Checked my PayPal account and sure enough, it went through. Checked my bank account and shows up as pending. I waited a few days to see if it goes away or completes the transaction and of course it completes. So I call up the 3rd party to find out where my $400 went. They don't know because it failed and they don't have a transaction ID to follow. I open up a dispute with PayPal and they said they'll reach out to the 3rd party for either verification or just to see what they say despite me showing a few screenshots of the transaction clearly failing and still being taken out. Paypal said they'll wait 20 days before making the dispute a claim and from there it can take up to 120 days to get my money back. What kind of bullshit is that!?
Going to try calling PayPal up on Monday and trying getting it sorted out over the phone. If nothing gets done fairly quickly (less than 30 days of transaction), I'll dispute it with my bank and fuck my relationship with PayPal. If all else fails, I'll file a complaint with the AG office.

Doing front brakes and an oil change on the newer van. Sliced my finger open on one of the sheetmetal pad guide inserts (those little pieces that go in the caliper bracket).
Then doing the oil change on the Pentastar, which in case some don't know, doesn't have a regular canister filter. It has a cartridge that sits on top of the engine, so you unscrew this plastic cap, the cap retains the filter and you pop out the filter from the cap. Anyway, I do that, then I like to clean out the excess old oil in the cap. Ended up busting out the little filter holder part. That took me about 20 minutes to get back in and snapped back in to place.

Years ago I was doing the rear shocks on a girlfriend's car. The upper mount bolts were so rusted I had to drill them out from the bottom. Using a 1/2" chuck drill with side handle and the bit caught and spun the drill. The back of my left hand just below the index finger's first knuckle slammed into the dust shield. Sliced it all the way down to the tendon. I could look through the cut and see my tendon going back and forth. Still have a nice scar from that, and I did it back in like 1994 or 1995.
Of course it was temporarily fixed with paper towels and duct tape. Had a job to finish, lol.

So I took the intake apart, looking for a soaked filter and any water in the intake path. Nothing. Looked at all connections, nothing. Look for a loose vacuum hose, nothing. Figured that at this point, I wasn't going to dick with it, so I will take it over to the other house where I have all my shit at, and I will look at it later. On the way over, it's getting better, but still seems to do it under certain load conditions. Again, random and intermittent.
So I'm hoping it's something that just got soaked (the PCM is in the lower front behind the fog lights), and needs a chance to dry out.

Try to do the “pointing dog” stretch. Hands and knees on the ground, then raise/extend opposite hand/foot at the same time. Basically pointing your hands/foot in opposite directions. Do about ten each, so twenty total.
Fucking Verizon. Every time I deal with them I question why the fuck am I still a customer of theirs? Got my mom a new phone and the SIM card won't activate online. Already spent 30+ minutes on hold, total fucking waste. Try dealing with at&t uverse u call the Philippines and all u hear is I’m sorrry sir, I’m so sorry, I’m sorry STFU already and get me someone who can help me. Finally after an hr I get some lady in Texas who says no problem sir I can get your bill down to $120 perfect I said sign me up nothing changes. Right? Yes everything stays the same. Get my my bill 20 days later it’s $160 I’m like wtf call again they give me a credit wait for my next bill and it’s $139 with all there bullshit fees and tax. Nowhere on the bill does it say $120 it just says $139 I’m like I give up this is ridicules.
