Damn Alex that sucks for you. Can't wait until I get my tax info. Hale already has his. He is expecting to get back between 5-6k back from Fed. Then probably around a hundred from State.

I must have them take out way too much then, cause my return rocks this year!!! I haven't done my state yet but that is usually like $75 bucks only! and the only deduction I have is my student loan interest! :D

Well when I was single and living at home I use to get back about $700 between both...but I am sure that is because of the bracket I was in. At least that is what I have been told.

the benefits of being married for a full year comparerd to a large sum of money ONCE a year isnt justifiable ...

with that being said .. iam looking for around 2700- 3200 Federal :p

Was going to be getting 1500 back, but I had sold some stocks last year... and I don't knwo what I was thinking when I did...

stocks sold FIFO ... I sold 4k of stocks on 3/30/04 that show being purchased on 3/31/03 :( I have no idea what I was thinking at the time...

So I'm looking at about a G now ...

change your deductions to 0 now, so next year you get more from the irs. also, have them take out an extra 20 a week, now you have 1000.00 in the bank. read tax books, and talk to pros, if you are able to itemize, do it. beware, deductions of more than 1% of your yearly income throws a red flag to the man. itemize, itemize, deduct, deduct, pay, pay, it all sucks ne way

Im confused what that means?

Are you saying its not worth being married and getting a lump sum or that I shouldnt get married just for the lump sum, or what?

Tell me quick, cause im going to the jeweler tonight, then plan on proposing to any hot girl i see until one says yes.....
