Where is this tastiness?

Today I was at Kwik Trip in the middle of nowhere somewhere on the way to Madison and a lady just brought out some burgers. I had good luck with the crispy chicken sandwich like this so grabbed one. Do NOT recommend the burgers at Kwik Trip.

i don't think i can get much healthier of a breakfast habit than riding my bike to this place to get a shakshuka. would love to not have the calories from the bread, but it's too nice a piece of bread really. 4 whole eggs 2 egg whites today. i don't get a drink with this. it is 130 thai baht, less than $4. only complaint is it's a simple shakshuka, eg. not much depth to the sauce in terms of spices/heat. another place i go to has some more heat, i walk there and iirc it's 160 baht.

the food at the restaurant/bar on site at my place is pretty good, although i get general thai things there so generally try to minimize it as they are higher in calorie, but they are so tasty. i ask them to minimize oil/sugar and get a double serving of chicken.

this is massaman curry, which is delicious, also has potatoes, carrots, and nuts (peanut typically, this one had both peanuts and cashews). the rice is actually a mix of red rice and shirataki rice, i order these online and occasionally use them as a good rice filler as it's half shirataki, which you can't really digest. so for the volume there calories only hit with half. the thai dish is 180 baht or about $5.50.

Looks delicious. We’re planning on going there soon, I’ve been twice but will be first time for the wife and kids.

More of a brunch, but stopped at a Norwegian place somewhere in Wisco on the way to Madison and had some potato pancakes and Norwegian pancakes (like crepes) yesterday. Not bad but not my kinda thing. Friend had chicken fried steak and eggs and raspberry sour creme pie. I tried some of the homemade toast, was very good.

Had a bite of the pie, definitely some interesting flavors and textures going on in there.

i'm in thailand, do you mean going to greece? i have never been there, although looked at some flights to it recently.

i'm going to istanbul later this year, which i love and is kind of a sweet spot for mileage redemptions from thailand, like 60k points each way to fly in fancy middle eastern business class (or 80k first) - i was hoping i could add a bop to athens for free but it's just out of range for that. may try to fit into 2024 plans.

For a long time I swore I've never go back to Istanbul, but in the last few years I've kind of reversed that thought...

Depending on where you stay (we were in Old Town), this was a good place to eat. Had really good saganaki. Only a few blocks from the Grand Bazaar.

We sat outside, and the people at the table next to us had three occupants. Two were from Denver, and the other was from St. Louis. What are the odds?
