Was a bit worried they’d somehow shake more but I think the fully collapsed old ones laying on the frame was way worse. I actually think it’s smooth now. I read some horror stories of rubber ones failing nearly instantly because of the weight of the Detroit.Good you went to polys. The Anchors I stuck in the Astro were shit and totally not worth it.

Speaking of laptops...Going to lend a laptop to a neighbor that is going in for hip surgery so I'm trying to P2V my drive that's in it now because I need a Win7 VM for my CAD software that's obsolete AF and she needs windows 10 to work. I wanted to do this anyways so I could use my main Linux Desktop to CAD from. As of now I'm taking a backup in Windows and am installing a fresh VM. Before I was trying to make a raw copy of the HDD's partitions to a file and seeing if I could just add that to a VM. It seemed like it worked up to the point I wanted to put a boot loader into it and actually boot the fucking thing.
VMware Converter makes this so fucking easy, shame I don't have it lol.
Also, did a shitton of cabling today for a new UCS Domain and was on a call for performance issues. It appears we're beating the shit out of our filer with one single NAS share that's kind of a rats nest pot luck of shit. I mean that thing really needs to get split up and a lot of the workload moved to block storage. Either that or we need to toss money at it. I wouldn't be surprised if we would do that except that the migration may be a pain in the dick to what we have now. Then again if we actually go out and cut a check..........
