Got my ass handed to me yesterday and today, 2012 Acadia in with alllll sorts of issues. No cluster, trans issues, reduced power mode. Tracked all that down to water intrusion on the passenger door connector and got the display and data lines working again. Customer was happy as hell I got it lit up again and it didn't seem like it had anything serious otherwise so I got to pick on it some to get it back into shape.
I found the steering rack thrashed cuz Acadia, had a real fun time dropping the k frame and supporting the engine to fight that bastard in an out of there, some brakes, pair of tires, lof. Finally get that shit show taken care of and I go to drive it and it overheats the second I get out on the road. Awesome, so I start digging on that and find one of the heater hose connectors broke, tee crumbles tearing it apart, grab a 5/8 connector instead of a 3/4 at the parts store and I guess this fucker can sit til I go back in the morning and it can be a 3 day thing.
I'm making a lil money on it thankfully, but it definitely went sideways on me and was 10 times harder to deal with than it should've been. But it'll be nice to see it roll out of here with a clean bill of health after they were gonna take it to the junkyard because the dealership told them they couldn't figure out what it's problem was.
The 3.6 doesn't even have a hint of timing chain tick to it and runs fantastic.
doin the good work always brings the toughest battles, even if it's somethin that should've been simple.
