So, quoting my post above, just for history.

Lately, for Weekends when I actually make breakfast I like an omelette. Well, above we have last weekends eggs.

Below, we have the Eggs for Saturday, and Today. I'm DEFINITIELY gonna mutate. Every single egg from this dozen so far has been a double yolk.

God damn. The last 3 eggs also turned out to be double yolks. That means that every single egg in that dozen was a double yolk.

that math doesn't seem quite right when looking at jumbo eggs (which i assume is what you had) - although certainly still pretty rare, but if you click through some of those results you're not the only one/it would be much more rare with medium sized eggs

Yeah. They were jumbo eggs. Which makes more sense because a double yolk would be heavier than a single yolk.

Also. I’ve seen enough of them now that I can predict with a pretty high confidence of the egg is a double yolk just by the shells shape.

Double yolks are less round. Instead of having the pointy end and a rounded bottom, both ends are pointy.

My MIL has known the family that owns it for 35+ years. Pretty cool that they made my wife's 1st birthday cake and both our daughters 1st birthday cakes.
