Sounds like a waste of time and money.

on a race car yeah....
my jeep spun 1 rod bearing (after the previous owner ran it low on oil), but it wasnt bad enough to damage the crank, just some pitting on the rod and cap. i was able to clean it up with emery cloth and put a new set of bearings in. 10k miles and no knocking *knock on wood*....i dont beat on it though. :s00ls:

Turning a crank costs $250, a full set of fresh bearings to match that cut is another $100-150 depending on what brand you buy. For $350-500 that motor would have been reliable, not to mention that it could easily be sold when the winter mods happen. Now it'll be lucky to make it there. Just my $.02

Yep.. $30 + oil and filtersand about 6 hours .. re used gaskets,,lol

I dont give a shit Its my car and I just wanted to drive it.. And now I am.. Dont worry I wont try and sell you the block come winter.. that will be on tech and I plan on letting them know the entire story.. If I only get a few weeks out of it I will be happy..

the bearings are beat up but the crank and rods look fine.. we shall see Its gonna go or blow


got the new ones in last night. gonna put the k-member and intake on tonight after work
