We had a very small window to finally get some track data on our Single Turbo Compound Boosted TRX.
Sadly the small window we had got cut even shorter due to the track opening almost 3 hours later then they were supposed to. But some data is better then no data.
First run we spun hard. Tried pedaling but could not save it. We left on about 8psi of boost and the track could not take it.
12.2 @ 122mph - 1.96 60ft...
So we brought her around and hot lapped it. after waiting 3 hours she was cool enough where temps were still fine. This time we rolled into it off idle... We just wanted a clean run. Which we got.
11.2 @ 122mph - 1.79 60ft
We only had about 15 minutes left before we had to head home. So we did our best to try and cool her down. But didn't have enough time. So we bumped up the boost controller anticipating heat soak. It netted our best time of the day.
11.1 @ 122mph - 1.72 60ft.
This was done on 18psi of boost.
We were hoping to have more time to attempt put 24psi boost setting. But the delayed open just didn't allow.
The truck also had over 30 gallons of gas in the tank... Full Spare still in place... Zero weight reduction at all... all on factory wheel/tire combo.
Not too bad for our medium boost setting and a truck that weighs over 6800lbs+.
We drove 70 miles to the track ( while getting over 15mpg on e85)... raced 3 times.. and drove home. That us always a successful track day.
