Oh Boy, that sounds like it could get a little crazy. Maybe next May 5th we will be ready!

Taking a lunch break before my next client meeting so decided to check in. Very busy road trip this time out and too many meetings scheduled in too short a time period. That is what I get for letting someone else make my road trip schedules. It looks like I am booked at a motel in a town with a population of 2500, so that will be interesting.
With any luck it will be walking distance from the local watering hole or juicy burger joint. I think Mr is going to be getting the Harleys ready for the first ride this weekend.

Nice Sporty ???
thanks Spivitz
I really thought twice when my husband suggested I start out on Sportster, but I have really enjoyed building it into what is looks like in the picture. I had the experience of learning a lot about the bike as I went along. Our daughter is considering a bike and I am encouraging her to do the same. It is a good opportunity for a young rider to get "hands on" experience rather than buying a fully dressed bike. Maybe jusy me though.

883, since it is just me and I am only 5'0" and 105# it has more than enough power.
Plus I am a pretty cautious rider so less power is good.
Spivitz would get bored riding with me.

5” and 105#, has something changed since the previously provided photos?

Also, when will you be posting a current photo with “TCG” and current date written on piece of paper captured within said photo?

Hey everyone the husband of bcouple here and I have been trying to lay low and let my wife handle the threads that she started however I might pop in here and say the following. After being around my wife for over a couple of dozen years, one thing that I know for sure is, my wife rarely does what someone she doesn't like, orders her to do, and I am pretty sure (blood on blood) you are rubbing her the wrong way. You might want to try a different approach.
All that being said, since (in my line of work) I have spent most of my life following the orders of people I don't like LOL. I will take you up on that challenge (blood on blood) and prove our reality right here on the forum.
Since it is the first night of the year that I have been able to work in the shop with the doors open, and in the middle of replacing a carb. on a harley, it will have to be later. Also, I need to come up with a creative way to do it. Since my buddy is just sitting on my workbench, drinking my beer and watching me work, maybe I will give him the job of thinking something up.
Also, for any harley guys out there, I removed the original carb and the rubber collar to the manifold seems really loose. I did not get a new collar with the carb so should I put a hose clamp on it or should I get a new collar and go without a clamp? I am assuming that it will run like shit if there is an air leak.

also, questioning a woman's weight is not a good approach either.

On a carb setup you'd just be running lean. How lean, can't tell you. But you'd probably notice some rideability issues, especially when you started twisting the throttle for some power. It would seem sluggish and weak, possibly misfiring.

that is what the bike was doing before I replaced the carb so chances are the loose collar is what was causing the problem and not the carb. I used a little sealer and a hose clamp when I put it back together and the bike runs great.

just been a very busy and stressful week for me but the good news is the Mr. and his friend are installing all the wiring for the new building today so should have some power in there when i get home. He said they started at 6 this morning and the man lift goes away tomorrow, so he said they are working until the high work is done. I am still 300 miles away from home with 2 meetings left. My boss said if i need to hotel it tonight he will give me 2 days off next week. It sounds like a good weekend coming up.

Here I was worried that you wore him out with your lunch time phone sex yesterday.

All the wiring is pulled and light boxes in the ceiling are in as well.
We worked our ass off and glad that is done.
Any suggestions on lighting.
I have a couple of 2'x 4' LED in my shop and I love them but not sure that is a good direction with this building.
Does anyone out there have blown insulation in a vaulted ceiling?
