3800 Water leak

I noticed today that there was a puddle of water on my front passenger side carpet . it was real wet to the touch..so i vaccumed it up. i checked the a/c drain elbow thingy and there was nothing stuck in it, and when i tried to take off the plastic cowling by the windshield wipers the screws holding it down did not want to back out, they just kept spinning in place. any suggestions? thanks

Make sure there are no leaks around you window, or did you get in the car with wet shoes on? I notice i have this problem in the winter time when i get into my car with snow on my shoes, so basically all winter i have a nice puddle on my carpet cause it doesn't like to drain out anywhere.
