Dude, $1100 bucks for that and yours looks THE SAME

This is why I don't like art in general. Don't understand it, never will, nobody will ever be able to drill in to my head what makes one of those worth $1100
I was watching a documentary called "The Lost Leonardo" and was hearing about some of the prices people were paying for pieces that looked like a half-asleep kindergartner kid could slap together. I don't get it either.

best pointless art ever.

I will pose a challenge to that...

Meet Italian artist Salvatore Garau. He is the absolute genius who has figured out a way to finesse $18,000 out of an art collector who paid for an invisible sculpture. That’s right, the art collector gets a proof of purchase, but there’s absolutely no physical sculpture or even some digital work of art like those selling on the NFT marketplace.

Thats a great piece.

I used fractureme.com for some glass prints of pictures I took that came out great but they dont do anything as large as this is.....

Will have to browse the site you posted from them for some stuff, though I basically am just leaving this all to the woman now since when I try to do this I end up with the room looking like a doctors office because I hang up shit I got from work. :bowrofl:

Some art from our house. this will probably a shock for most of you guys with your gray walls and minimal stuff. lol!

Random Thrifted stuff… most of the stuff we have is thrifted. not bothering with all the Live, Laugh, Love and other saying stuff. its randomly all over the house as well as a hallway loaded with family photos from mid wall to ceiling.

Stuff that I picked out is all tin signs and sweets framed art.. lol

Other stuff that is mine. I painted that picture of the car years go. she wanted to hang it up. coins are my Grandfathers. he loved to collect coins.

from a family paint and sip. I painted the mountains and she painted the waterfall one below. Yes the previous owner used reclaimed Barn wood in the house and is featured in various places and lots of rough cut dimensional cedar boards on the walls.

the copper chicken and the knife set was my parents old knives that were a wedding gift to them back in 1975 and I was still using them when I met my wife so she framed them because they were still being used 40 years on. lol

Some random shit from the house that may or may not qualify as art:

A demilled BREN I have as sclupture on top of my book shelves

I dumpsterdived this poster, but for some reason it's spoken to me. The mythology behind it is neat in my mind.

The bird I did in glass, the wife did the flowers. The Gladius is a stage blade my sister got me as a HS grad gift.

Last but not least the wife got these sculptures. They're from a Canadian Childrens' book.

There's some other paintings through the house, I'll get to those later I guess.

I got the middle one up then gave up because I wanted to relax for at least 20 minutes before I went to bed lol. Have to drill 4 holes per pic which is ridiculous, and there's an unnecessary amount of hardware involved so you have to measure all that and make sure it's within spec & mounted evenly to the picture so you don't have to compensate by offsetting holes

Def like the first one better from that CtrlP guy, his mounting hardware was simple and minimalist. 4 holes for that entire giant pic vs 12 for these, which are about the same size
