I was looking over my logs. On each shift I lose 2 tenths. I short shifted at 6400, so I’m going into 4th right before the end of the quarter. On this log it does the slow shift from 1-2. If I can clean up the trans shifting and get a bit better launch I should be tickling 10’s

Also of mention, last weekend I did the transfer case service with a new actuator…and the trans service with new valve body seals, oil, and pan/filter combo.

I initially did it because I thought the bridge seal in the trans was going, but turned out to be a tuning problem. At first I felt kind of stupid for spending close to $600 on all the stuff, but now after readapting, it shifts so sweet.

Yeah, don’t know yet if it’s valves or ringland. I’ve noticed that cylinder always had more carbon buildup for a long time now. I figured it’s valve seals. The wet test wasn’t the smoking gun I was hoping for. Cyl walls still have good crosshatches, but I did see minimal scoring that could indicate cracked ring/ringland. Top of piston looks perfect, lots of oil/carbon on exhaust valves.

It could even be a slightly bent rod
