I have the 60" version of this. Got it a few weeks ago from Walmart. $678. The smartcast is AWESOME. I can throw anything from any video playing app, youtube and many other apps directly to the TV. Then it takes over and I can do what I want with my phone. They also have the vizio app that controls the TV too. So I can do everything from my phone from power up/down, to volume and changing the inputs and display settings.

Heres the best part. You can stream 4k youtube to it and 4k netflix. I have tested it and it works perfectly. What a great TV. And 4k is amazing. I say get it.

Oh and you can add the smartcast extension to google chrome and cast from any computer in your house to the TV. Again, 4k works. You start a 4k video in youtube on your phone or browser, then smart cast it to the TV.

Not sure I like the idea of having to use your phone as a remote
Can you use the standard remote?

We would mostly use this for Amazon fire stick tv.

Yeah it comes with a remote. But I always have my phone on me, and almost never use the remote at all. My kids lose the remotes all the time, but no care I just pull out my phone and do what I need. So its been better actually for me. I can turn down the volume when Im in another part of the house when they are watching and they are blasting it. Its great lol. Or I was able to change the input for the wife from my xbox back to cable when I was outside in the garage and she couldnt find the remote. Shes got the app on her phone now too. Its too cool.
