Santa Fe Speedway had to much lead in the ground to continue racing. Yet mcmansions covered every square inch of the former track within 2 years....

I'm not rigging it to get to or from work. Or hoping it doesn't die in a road trip. Gm LS and LT based engines are solid. Not running around in a I4 or V6 platform. I will never own anything less than a V8 platform with a single/center cam.

I have some of my best car memories from running around old junkyards as a kid.
I remember one in Michigan called Schramm Auto that was really impressive - when GM shut down F body production in St Therese, they picked up a bunch of the leftover parts and they sold quick. I remember seeing a complete Camaro dash assembly like they would install at the plant and it even had a build sheet in the glove compartment. Completely new. I was thinking about grabbing it but it had the V6 gage cluster.
Around here they still have a local pick and pull called Neals. Apparently they have half price on Wednesdays.

I just need to dig an AMC 258 rods and crank up. Wish there was a place by me that wasn't a fotrune. LKQ wants like 6-700 bucks for an engine like that.
Contaminated to what ever degree does not matter at this point. Everything around the airport is being redeveloped. That land is just too valuable . He's probably getting himself a nice retirement package $$. Look up the last home sale prices in Mohawk Terrace, Bensenville.
