Im closed minded when it comes to vacations... I go to our cabin on the lake in northern wisconsin

Lake Tippecanoe in Indiana...

Friendly locals who like to party. Expensive houses and cottages. Sandbars to park the boat and swim. Great fishing. Friendly bars. Lakes can be crowded on weekends but not bad during the week. Small town Indiana atmosphere combined with plenty of vacationing, usually prosperous, Chicagoans.

it's a bit pricey.... but my wife and I went to Hawaii once and it was great....

spent a day visiting Pearl Harbor and then spend the rest of our time on Maui.

It was an absolute blast.... we planned our own outings and so glad we did because the tour guided outings that were offered seemed too lame.

Highly recomended!!!

If you want to relax, goto Alaska during the summer!
