Used Car <5k for teenager

Good friend of mine is looking for a car for her daughter. <$5k

Her exact words to me were: "She will drive what I buy her"

She is kind of gunshy of random sales because she's had the worst luck with the last 2 used cars (one being a civic...) so was hoping to see if anyone here or close to a member has something.

My oldest got a Hyundai Elantra GT, pretty nice ride for an 18YO. Overall good car that's fun to drive, but won't kill them. Nice stereo with bluetooth stock.

I’m not sure if there is anything more reliable, durable, cheap to repair and easy to work on than a Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis.

My sister has a 06 Pontiac G6 GT coupe for sale I’ve replaced all the common problematic G6 stuff.

Blue
Sunroof
Factory remote start
Rear bumper cover has some damage
Some rust (I’ll get pictures of the whole car)

All within the last 10/15k or so we have replaced:

Front sway bar endlinks and bushings
Rear sway bar endlinks and bushings
Outer tie rods
Lower control arms
Rear shocks
Front struts were replaced before we got it
Front and rear pads and rotors
Spark plugs and wires
Oil filter housing gasket
All interior speakers with OEM
Blower motor resistor
Turn signal lever
4 all season tires
Flex pipe replaced

Had a Professionally installed a Ken wood double din stereo with Bluetooth and aux capability.

The only issues are the cosmetic I’ve mentioned above, and for being a 14 year old car.. I think she’s looking for $2800.
