It’s amazing how Shit and old fashioned those cars were compared to something like the intrepid/Concorde/vision (similar size/price vehicle) that came out in 1993.
Yea, but don't wax fantastic about their reliability. They had engine oiling issues (sludging IIRC) on that series of engines and the one my wife had when we were dating (a '99 Intrepid), was given to me to drive while my Wife drove my GTP, because the transmission pan leaked and even Chrysler couldn't get it to stop. Not a big deal, but it sat right over the exhaust. So hot trans fluid on a hot exhaust... Then one morning, she had an electrical fire with it. That was the last draw and I got stuck with it until we got rid of it. Also, because she was frugal, hers was the 2.7L and it was dog ass slow.
The positive of the car was (aside from styling), it's interior was ginormous for a sedan. I remember having 3 full size critter seats strapped in the back seat. My GTP couldn't do that.
And with that said, back on topic, either Myself or others here mentioned Grand Am's. Now that they have, I've been seeing them left and right. I saw a really clean white one parked in front of the crusher in West Chicago this morning.
