I've been using this one for 2 years now. It's been dropped, dipped, forgotten under chassis for 42 mile test drive in the rain (very strong magnet), and anything else you can imagine. I warrantied it once due to the rubber seal expanding due to fuel.

You probably don't want the actual under hood light as they build some heat and take up a lot of room.

I had one of the snapon ones and they get loose and shitty after a while.
