Been a while..
Back in fall 2019, car was running, for A little bit.
High boost spike (~15psi jumped to ~27psi on the 7675 ) , took out the old 200k mile stocker motor. Few pistons jumped ship.
This was during early tuning.
Anyways, covid hit shortly after.
I wouldn't have minded running stocker motor again, but being 2020 then, it was getting hard to find good condition motors.
And because of covid, prices shot up it seemed, even on questionable blocks.
Luckly Dave had an old one collecting dust that need rebuilt. Soooo... it got rebuilt. This time not as a stocker like the last two rebuilds.
Sent him a low mile crank.
JE Pistons 0.020" over
STR6 cam got wrecked, so got another one.
Pauter X-Beam rods
Rhoads lifters, some got wrecked, so had to order some replacements.
Heads got some extra porting and cleaned up and bigger valves put in.
On some of these parts, it was taking 6-8 months to get. So took forever to get everything.
Machine work time to get done on heads and block took for ever. Its a v6, so would get pushed to back of the line.
Now the turd is back to running and doing testing now. So hopefully maybe, 2022 will be the year to go down the track once
