My coworker just finished putting a new motor into his 2002 9-3. He had a 2.0L Turbo motor but put in the 2.3L motor from a NA model. We figured the PCM cound make up the little bit of difference but it seems to just not want to run right. He says that a factory tune from a Viggen model would work since it is a 2.3L turbo but he'll also settle on a custom tune. But nothing crazy since its his dd and he drives from kenosha to huntley every day.

TIA

So it's a 2.3 NA motor with the turbo and ECU off a 2.0? What year was the new motor out of? Don't have that ECU?

Correct. The motor is from a 97 and isn't turbo

Text me thier info if you can so I can pass it along.

Anyone know if HP tuners would work for them since they're owned by GM? TommyGloves

The engine was from his non turbo 1997 model. This is a 2002 turbo. Its the same block throughout the years but displacement and compression is different.
