Way over priced, the 4.0 SOHC in a 1998 is a time bomb, regardless of transmission.

I loved my 97 5 speed explorer with its dead nuts reliable OHV motor despite being a dog.

I actually went and looked at this last weekend. It's at a small dealership in FRG/Cary.

1999 2500 Suburban. 454/80e/4x4. 121,000 miles. One owner.

It looks good in pictures, but they do it no justice. The truck looks showroom fresh.

The prices reflect it for sure lol. Both listed at $8,995. But, TBH, that's not a TERRIBLE price for either... You're paying up, but, you'd be hard pressed to find nicer ones.

Sure, you could buy a newer one... But just like the thread where [MENTION=19]Yaj Yak[/MENTION] posted the 6.2 powered LTZ Tahoe and the reply was "just get an Escalade" I will once again say, why?

Everyone and their cousin can have a nice GMT800. Something older like this in as good of shape as its in is what makes it special.

Don't get me wrong, you all know I love the GMT800 platform, but, I'd take the 1999 I posted over a newer one any day of the week.
