transmission leak.... up front?

My transmission went throught 2 quarts 2 weeks ago and swallowed another two this past monday. I was under the impression i need to replace the pump seal in the transmission until last night. I went for a drive and came home later. I noticed there was a puddle where the car was parked earlier, but it was under the supercharger... procharger. So i was thinking the blower is leaking again.... wrong. It checked out fine and then i noticed the fluid on the street was red... like transmission fluid, yet under the blower.

I didnt check the trans dipstick again, but i will tomorrow. I do have a transmission cooler up front, but i am not sure what to think. I will take a second look at the fluid and the puddle... but it appeared red... this was at night.

I thought it was anti-freeze because mine keeps vanishing... but a red puddle and not green has me in confusion yet again. I was planning on pulling the trans with help to change the pump seal, now i am guessing its something else.

Thoughts?

You own the car, find the leak.

(it requires labor, not the kind of labor you expelled to write this post)

You're like 99% there to finding the leak. Pop the hood and check the cooler and lines? Can't be too difficult to spot red oil

I think the call would go like this...

Me: Hey Zack
Z man: What is it? You are derailing my progress.
I think i am leaking transmission fluid.
Did you see any.
Yes.
Then you are leaking it dum dum.
No i mean its coming from the front.
Did you check the dip stick?
Yes.
The car has to be running cum guzzler.
I know that. It was low, but its coming from the front.
Well then thats where your leak is.
Yeah, but from where?
TRACE where the fluid is leaking from. Its probably a hose.
Ok but this is aftermarket. Where can i get one.
GO TO ANY AUTO PARTS STORE. They will match up something.
I am concerned about the size.
Jesus christ. Have you ever cut rubber?
Yes.
Not that scare with the condom on your shrimp dick.
Yes i know.
Ok good. Go to Napa and annoy those people.
Can i remove it before i go?
NO!!! THE FLUID WILL BE COMPLETELY GONE. Are you sure you werent a failed abortion?
Not sure.
Yeah no one knows about you. Ok i need to floss now.
Thanks Zack.
Go have fun now.

No need to at the moment. The wife offered her Mountianeer with rental trailer if we need it. She does too much for me.

$30ish + shipping on rockauto.com for a no-name heavy duty cooler, and you'll be back in business.
If he doesnt buy the exact unit that came out, and the holes dont line up with the brackets, what do you think will happen?
Thats right, another thread on how to use a drill. :rollpicard:
