Has anyone traded in a car with long tubes and no cats to a dealer?

I did a few years ago. They didn't notice at the time. They called me back a few days later asking if I had all of the original "emissions equipment." I told them no and they weren't very happy. The salesman told me they couldn't sell it like that and would have to send it to auction. If that was truly the case, someone got a real nice truck for cheap.

Traded the GTO in on the Mustang with LTs and no cats. They knew about it. Sold it a week later to someone that used to be on here.
So from what everyone is saying, I should just stop worrying about it and trade it in when the z comes. They already gave me what I wanted for it and didn't ask any questions. they saw the mileage, took some pictures and were all gawking over it. The thing is mint.
